I tried using the method I suggested but it didn't work, because when the topics are re-merged they are ordered chronologically so my post containing chapter 4 ends up being at the end :/

Shit! Maybe Eagle can help out here. >_< I'm sure as hell not going to delete 5 posts and then re-make them just to get my story in the order in which it should be. >_<

WTF, don't be so lazy and just edit your posts! Turn chapter 5 into 4, 6 into 5, 7 into 6, 8 into 7, 9 into 8, 10 into 9, and post a new reply with chapter 10.

Alright, but if I can do it the other way around, I will. I'm going to check with Eagle first. It doesn't hurt to check all your options.

8-) 8-)

Sorry, but the post entries are keyed internally - really no easy way to insert an entry. You'll need to create a new last chapter, and then copy/paste/overlay from back to front. Shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour.

Ah well, at least 1/2 of our resident computer geeks answered my dilemma. However I am not looking forward to doing that. Still, since it is just copy/pasta it shouldn't be that hard. >_>

In addition to the interruption, I was thinking I should start talking about everyone's favorite holiday at Duel Academy, "Duel Monsters Spirit Day."

Getting back to the "Strip Dueling" I think I will put that in somewhere. Where that is, I have yet to figure out. ;)

Hmmm - does that mean every dresses up as their favorite monster and flails wildly at eachother? Or do they sell t-shirts, beer mugs and banners to show your "monster spirit"? What I want to know is what company is making all of that merchandise, and is it all approved by MLB (Monster Licensing Bureau)?

Since I don't think it'll work out in the Commons or the Gym, maybe you can work that in after a duel match where our protagonist loses (just by a small margin). Alexis could nudge him a bit, telling him that she can help him practice his techniques. He's good, but there are so many styles and so many decks a lot of the time it's the luck of the draw - and you really have to think on your feet. She eggs him into a personal match later that evening, but to make him feel better - and stay interested - she announces the additional stripping rules. End result: loser becomes winners "slave" for the evening....hmmmm.

Ok, I asked InsertFunnyUserName to not refer to me in the 3rd person on NG, and I ask that you not refer to me as the "Protagonist" this is a self-insertion fanfic. Meaning I take part in the story. I'm not that big on BDSM either. :\

No offense meant; I just have a different take on "self-insertion" fanfics. For example, in my fanfic, the character named "ByteSlinger" is obviously modeled after me - but, it's NOT the REAL me. While there are many similarities, there are also obvious differences. To differentiate between the "story" Byte and the "real" Byte, I would refer to the story-book by names such as the "heroine", "protagonist", etc. The character in the story is just that; same for the characters modeled after you, Eagle and everyone else. So, when I refer to the characters in my story in the 3rd person, it's only to clarify that what I'm speaking about is the storybook character - and not the person IRL.

As for the BDSM - there are varying degrees, from very mild to outright dangerous. The moment one partner becomes dominant and the other gets passive, that is the first step to B&D; it doesn't have to past there, unless both partners are in agreement as to just how far it will go. You get very detailed in your descriptions about sex, from actions and reactions to every wet detail about every sexual orifice and organ. A little playful domination wouldn't be unusual here, considering the very concept of "dueling" is to take someone on, and prove you are better by being a dominant player. The strong ones win - so, why wouldn't you echo that in the sexual context as well?

Final note: IMHO, whether I refer to Byte in my story, or the Byte on the interweb, both are avatars - fictitious beings created by a real person, with a real name and a real job and a real life. It's okay to refer to either in the third person - neither are real.

Hope this clears things up, Trev!

Yea it does, but it just looks and sounds weird seeing others talk about me like my name in my fanfic is just something I made up. :(

Okay, in the future I will address the character of you in your book as "you", and not "Trevor" or "The protagonist", since you have explained to me your point of view and feelings. I can respect that, and I shall do my best not to use the third person inflection when discussing your fanfic.
