Re: Monty Python Fan Thread

Hmm, if I know my Monty Python skits like I think I do, I'm fairly certain that screenie is of the "Ministry Of Silly Walks" or one of them.

One of my faves - the Argument Clinic!

Okay, now it's my turn:

What's the movie, and what's being discussed in this scene?

IIRC, that was a little film called Life of Brian.

Also, the thing they were talking about happens to be one of their best songs:

Incidentally, am I the only person that absolutely LOVES their intermission music?

Re: Monty Python Fan Thread

Looks like those fumes from your car got to your head a little bit there, my friend. That intermission music reminds me of the crappy stuff they played at the roller-skating rink years ago, or just really bad elevator music.

I mean, it's cute and all, but it's not on my top 20 list.

I want....I want....A shrubbery!

A shrubbery?

Yes. A shrubbery. Medium size, well rounded....

That's okay. It'll be a good 30 minutes before you decide what diverse elements are among your weaponry.

Oh, by the way, the door's to your right if you need to come in again. :D

While he's taking the 30 minutes to choose from his vast array of weaponry, I'll be at the diner.

Re: Monty Python Fan Thread

Incidentally, not to segue too far off the topic, but I was on the topic of British humor at work, and my boss (who's as British as you can get), lets us in on this little gem. It's done by two guys that call themselves "Two Ronnies," and anyone that loves British humor should enjoy it:

Re: Monty Python Fan Thread

Me being an English man find it weird how you haven't stumbled upon them before! I spent my friday nights as a child, watching the Two Ronnies with my dad, along with an American gem known as Frasier.

National treasures. Doesn't feel so long since Ronnie Barker passed away.

No, no, no! We shall have none of that! No one hijacks this thread but me! :D

If you want to talk about non-Python British blokes, go start your own thread! We got plenty of room on this forum for that!

BTW, I've never heard of "The two Ronnies". Were they gay?

Nope. The Two Ronnies is a hilarious programme, actually. Only one of them left now, though. D:
